Finding Your Voice in College
Description
Starting college can bring new opportunities to speak up—in class, during group projects, when meeting new people, and while advocating for yourself. This interactive workshop will help students build confidence in expressing their ideas clearly, authentically, and respectfully.
Participants will explore practical strategies for introducing themselves, contributing to classroom discussions, communicating with faculty and peers, managing nervousness, and using positive verbal and nonverbal communication. Students will leave with simple techniques they can use immediately to strengthen their presence, share their perspectives, and make meaningful connections across campus.
