The Coolest Night In Anson

Join South Piedmont Community College for "The Coolest Night in Anson" on September 3 from 6–8 p.m. at the L.L. Polk Campus, located at 680 US 74 in Polkton.

Enjoy an evening of community, connection, and celebration featuring free Jon G’s barbecue and a free live performance by Charlotte-based band Weekend Friend.

Guests will have the opportunity to tour South Piedmont’s newly renovated HVAC-R lab, now equipped with new industry-standard training equipment made possible through funding from the Golden LEAF Foundation. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to provide students with hands-on training and the skills needed to succeed in the growing HVAC-R industry. Attendees can also meet HVAC-R instructors, explore career opportunities in the industry, learn more about HVAC-R programs, and receive information about applying to South Piedmont Community College.

Whether you’re interested in starting a new career, supporting workforce development, or simply want to experience the newly transformed space, we invite you to join us for "The Coolest Night in Anson!"

The event will also feature free barbecue provided by Peachland-based Jon G’s, while supplies last. Charlotte-based band Weekend Friend, who will debut their new song “Make the Call.” 

The song was commissioned by South Piedmont and is inspired by the transformational changes that happen in students’ lives when they call South Piedmont Community College and begin their educational journeys.
