Course Title: Excel Pivot Tables

Course Description:
This PivotTables-focused Excel course is designed for professionals who want to master the art of summarizing, analyzing, and presenting data using one of Excel’s most powerful analytical tools. You will learn how to properly prepare data, create PivotTables from a variety of sources, organize and group fields, apply advanced calculations, and build interactive reports using slicers, timelines, and PivotCharts.
The course also covers how to format and maintain PivotTables for recurring reporting needs, and how to refresh and adjust source data as your datasets grow. By the end of the session, you’ll be equipped to turn raw data into clear, meaningful insights efficiently and professionally.
What You Should Already Know
- A basic understanding of Excel navigation (ribbons, tabs, cells, worksheets).
- Comfort entering data, formatting cells, and working with simple tables.
- Experience with basic formulas such as SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, and simple text/number manipulations.
- The ability to sort, filter, and manage tabular data.
- A general understanding of what PivotTables are used for (no advanced skills required).
What to Bring:
A laptop will be provided for your use during the session, though you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Participants who work more comfortably with a mouse are encouraged to bring an external mouse to enhance their experience.
